The Six Week Intensive provides an opportunity for students of the Alexander Technique to engage in intensive study and to develop a deeper understanding of the Alexander Technique. It is designed for the Alexander students desiring the enhanced personal experience of the Alexander Technique principles available by studying on a daily basis over a course of weeks.

During an intensive, the student is a participant on the Course on a daily basis, observing and learning from the training process, receiving "turns" from faculty and senior trainees. "Turns" are mini-lessons in the Technique during which one experiences and explores the application of Alexander's principles, and improves one's own "use". Intensive students also participate in discussion, lectures, demonstrations, and all other class activities.

The Intensive is also appropriate for those Alexander students who are considering entering the three year Teacher Training Course and wish to experience the training prior to committing to the three year program. The Intensive may be applied as credit towards the Training Course.

The Six Week Intensive does not lead to certification and is not considered teacher training without completion of the three year course.
